In the decade since the 2008 split that broke Phillip Morris into Alrtia, the US cigarette market has spent much time facing the same long term problem: Fewer smokers are buying fewer cigarettes. In the same decade, vaping has become the fastest growing product in the smoking space, with big tobacco companies rushing to establish themselves. On October 25th Altria announced that they would discontinue most of their flavored e-cigarettes and support a new 21-year-old age limit for tobacco and vape products.
